I apologize for the lateness!!! I was trying to locate my x-rays from my knee surgery and was unsuccessful. I am still on the hunt though. I am thinking of using the scans either digitally or doing a transfer on some sort of drawing paper. I will also add type and maybe it'll detail the process or the feelings I felt through it all. For this last project I wanted to do something that I could directly relate to. I know there's not a lot to see here, I simply created some interesting scanograms that show textures that relate in some kind of was to the "grizzly" process (hint, hint) okay that was corny I'm done lol...
Ahhh I love the idea of using x-rays! You could really experiment with layer overlays and make them look super rad. I also like your idea of incorporating your feelings throughout that ordeal. Maybe use a photo of yourself somehow?
ReplyDeleteThat pun was hard to bear.
ReplyDeleteI hope you hunt down your X-rays.
I have a feeling your project will be a roaring good time.
I'll stop.
Haha! I had no idea my pun would lead to such unbearable responses lmao!
DeleteCool idea! I think if you could get those xrays it would make your last project! I like your scanogram though. I can't wait to see where this one goes.
ReplyDeleteYeah man using x-rays will almost in itself add tons of interest to a composition and those textures are wonderful. The idea of conveying the feeling of that experience could lead you in many different directions, more literal or abstract which is great.
ReplyDeleteX rays guarantee interesting imagery and intrigue. You will definitely have to experiment with layering and decide what direction you want to go in.
ReplyDeleteI like the x-ray idea! That's a good way to add a lot of drama and a sort of eery quality right off the bat. And you can never go wrong with scanogram textures in my opinion...
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea to help depict your experience with your surgery and how stressful and long the recovery process must have been. I think that the x-rays will make for some interesting images when layered with the scanograms. I would like to see this taken a bit further; however, I'm really enjoying the direction you are taking this.
ReplyDeleteThis will definitely be interesting to see. Maybe think about what kind of message you want the viewer to take from it. Is it a personal journey you want to visualize, or something you want the audience to relate to in some way?
ReplyDeleteI love your idea of using x-rays, your scanograms and how they represent part of your story. I am definitely excited to see what you come up with!
ReplyDeleteHi Victor
ReplyDeleteMy what great comments from the class. I agree with most of them. I am a tad late on the conversation regarding your surgery from above. I gather you are relating an accident or surgery in your statement. Hence the xrays? Do you need your own personal xrays?

Xrays and skeletons universally remind us of our own mortality. Great idea. Need some content quick tho.
